The Danish Nobility Association is renting out student housing at Gothersgade 158.
The Danish Nobility Association has established the following criteria for the rental of the association’s student housing at Gothersgade:
- All inquiries regarding Gothersgade must be made via email: 158@gothersgade.dk
- It is a prerequisite that the applicant is a youth member of the Danish Nobility Association and that the applicant’s parents are members of the association.
- An alternative prerequisite is that one’s mother is a member of the Danish Nobility Association, and the applicant must have a youth subscription themselves.
- To be placed on the waiting list, applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- To live at Gothersgade 158, the applicant must be admitted and an active student in an education program with a remaining study period of at least 2 years.
- Applications are accepted and access and residence are initially granted for 3 years for a bachelor’s degree, after which an extension for residence for 2 years during a master’s program can be applied for.
- This is a time-limited lease for students. The rental period can extend to a maximum of 6 years, and the tenant cannot occupy the apartment for more than 1 year after completing their education (standard duration). An extension of the lease beyond a total rental period of 6 years is not possible.
- The property’s concept does not allow for subletting or swapping of apartments, however, in connection with study abroad during the Danish education, it is possible to apply for a dispensation to install a proxy resident for up to one year. The proxy resident must be a member of the Danish Nobility Association or a youth subscriber to the association. (resident and terms approved by the board of Gothersgade 158). Short-term rentals such as “Airbnb” will not be permitted.
- It will be possible for tenants to have a resident in the medium and large apartments who is not a member of the Danish Nobility Association. This resident and the terms must be approved in advance by the board of Gothersgade, but it is recommended to choose a resident among the other members of the association who are on the waiting list.
