Updated Regulations for Gothersgade
- All communication with the board must be made via email: 158@gothersgade.dk.
- When applying to be added to the waiting list (ekspektancelisten), the applicant must provide the following information:
- Full name
- Age
- Address
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Full name of parents / mother’s full name
- It is a requirement that the applicant is a youth member of the Danish Nobility Association (Dansk Adels Forening), and that the applicant’s parents are members of the association.
- Alternatively, the requirement can be fulfilled if the applicant’s mother is a member of the Danish Nobility Association, and the applicant holds a youth subscription.
- Youth members listed in the Red Book (Den Røde Bog) and registered on the waiting list have first priority for the apartments. If they decline an offer, it will be passed on to youth subscribers on the list whose mother was born noble and is a member of the association.
- To be included on the waiting list, the applicant must be at least 16 years old.
- To reside at Gothersgade 158, the applicant must be enrolled and actively studying in an educational program with at least 2 years remaining.
- Initial residency is granted for 3 years during a bachelor’s program, with the possibility of a 2-year extension during a master’s program.
- The lease is a time-limited tenancy for students. The maximum rental period is 6 years, and the tenant may not stay more than 3 months after completing their studies. Lease extensions beyond a total of 6 years are not possible.
- The lease is conditional upon the tenant being an active student in an education program eligible for SU (student grant), which must be documented each March via ECTS credits.
- The property’s concept does not allow subletting or apartment swaps. However, exceptions may be granted for study abroad as part of the Danish education program, allowing for a substitute tenant for up to one year. The substitute tenant must be a member or youth subscriber of the Danish Nobility Association. (The tenant and terms must be approved by the board of Gothersgade 158). Short-term rentals such as Airbnb are not permitted.
- It is possible for tenants in medium and large apartments to have a co-resident who is not a member of the Danish Nobility Association. However, this resident and the terms must be pre-approved by the board of Gothersgade 158. It is encouraged that co-residents be chosen from among members/subscribers on the waiting list.
- The waiting list is regularly updated by the board of GG158. Members/subscribers on the list must confirm their continued interest and fulfillment of the criteria by replying to emails from the board. Members are responsible for keeping their contact
